Ladakh is the magnificent place in winters. Snow Leopard is very rare and elusive amongst the big cat family. It lives in high mountain ranges, its footprints in the snow reveal its presence in the wild.

Our exploration goes in search of Snow Leopards in the mountains of Hemis National Park in Ladakh. this explorational tour would be physically demanding but the chance of catching a glimpse of beautiful snow leopard which comes out to hunt is very rewarding and fulfilling one. it hunts animals like Bharal, or Blue Sheep and sometimes also the livestock of the locals in harsh winters. the snow leopard inhabits the ridges and gorges in the mountains and one has to be very patient to get a look of this beautiful beast.The snow covered peaks and slopes of Himalayas in ladakh give the ancient place a look of a snowy wonderland so these winters come with on an adventure of a lifetime and enjoy the cultural heritage and hospitality of vibrant people of Ladakh and get a chance to see a snow leopard in its natural habitat. Snow leopard trails in Leh:- south of Leh Jengchan valley, Rumbak valley, Urutse shingo range, Skeu Markaha it is in Hemis national park, and south west Mangu and Zoom village,Tar Hipti village.

Tour Plan:

Day 1, Fly Delhi to Leh. Early morning transfer to the Delhi domestic airport for a spectacular flight to Leh, capital of Ladakh (3500m). The dramatic views of this high altitude desert are punctuated by sharp snowy peaks. Transfer to your hotel where you’ll receive welcome tea, coffee. After full day rest for acclimatization, evening your leisure to explore Leh Market O/N Hotel  . After lunch, join our local crew and the Snow Leopard Conservancy staff for a briefing, then free time to explore Leh on your own. It is important to rest on these first few days at high altitude. Welcome dinner with the Conservancy. O/N Hotel.

Day 2,Acclimatize day and monastery excursion

After breakfast drive and visit shey castle,  the first King of ladakh Lachen Palgyigon funded in 11th  century, after some time inside of the monastery built three store  copper gilt Statue of lord Buddha, like this type of Buddha statue only in shey even not in Tibet, it is made by King Daldan Namgyal as a funerary memorial to his father king Singgey Namgyal in 1633 AD.

After visit Thiksey monastery there are many shines to see manly three story Future Buddha and white Tara Room . Day 3, Acclimatize and excursion Leh: Full day visit to monasteries (104 Kms) After breakfast, drive for full day of sightseeing to the Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries and Stok Palace Museum. Packed or Hot Lunch will be provided. Return to Leh in the evening. O/N Hotel.

Day 4, Leh  to Jingchan trek to Husing camp:

After breakfast, drive to Jingchen, and start walking along the Rumbak River,  Zingchen Gorge. Continue up the gorge, a dramatic entry to the snow leopard’s high altitude home in Hemis National Park. Enrooted, watch amidst the cliffs and at the base of rocks where they mark their turf for sign of snow leopard, and other wildlife. At wildlife study Husing camp. Trek time: approx 1,2 hrs O/N Husing Camp Elevation: 3600m.

Day 5, Snow Leopard and Wildlife Sighting:

Proceed for full day of tracking snow leopard and its wildlife prey. Hemis National Park is home to blue sheep, argali (a large horned sheep), numerous mountain and migratory birds, as well as an occasional Tibetan wolf. You are likely to see sign of snow leopard as winter is the time that they descend to lower elevations. If lucky, you’ll actually see one perched high in the rocks or balanced on a near vertical ridge. Return to camp for some warming tea and share tales of the day Camp elevation 3600m.

Day 6, Snow Leopard and Wildlife Sighting:

Spend another day in the (Huseng valley,) for watching snow leopard and its prey. Morning after breakfast trek 3,4 hrs into the huseng valley narrow gorged some steep rocky mountains wallow trees bushes in the valley wonder full sport for searching snow leopard the views of this stark landscape, the sky pierced by upward tilted strata and  on snow-free days  the ground adorned with hardy alpine plants, provides constant fascination Camp  evening back to camp elevation 3600m.

Day 7,  Snow Leopard and Wildlife Sighting:

Spend another day in the (Huseng valley,) for watching snow leopard and its prey. Day 8, Snow Leopard and Wildlife sighting:

The day ( Tarbong valley) Tarbong valley is small valley 2 hrs trek from the camp into the narrow gorge, many bushes rocky mountains, see the Golden Eagle nest, back for lunch at Camp after lunch visit agen in the valley stay until drake evening after back to Camp elevation 3600m.

Day 09, Jingchan Camp to Rumbak Villages:

Trek to Rumbak, and experience a home stay hosts have been trained in hospitality and are members of a community conservation effort to conserve the endangered snow leopard. Learn about their livestock herding practices and try your hand at winter pastimes (spinning, weaving, and turning a tale). Spend the days tracking snow leopard and wildlife, and overnight in a home stay or camp. Elevation 3500m.

Day 10, Wildlife Sighting around Rumbak and Yurutrse. Spend another day for watching snow leopard and its prey. Spend the days tracking snow leopard and wildlife walk up to Yurutse village and overnight in a home stay or camp. Elevation 3500m.

Day 11, Wildlife watching around Rumbak:

Spend another day for watching snow leopard and its prey. Spend the days tracking snow leopard and wildlife and overnight in a home stay or camp. Elevation 3500m.

Day 12, Trek to Zingchen, and Return to Leh:

Say goodbye to your hosts and hike down-valley past familiar snow leopard haunts and piles of carved Tibetan prayer stones to the road head at Zingchen; Drive 1hrs to Leh, and check into a hotel for your first real bed in a week! O/N hotel.

Day 13, Leh to Delhi:

Early morning transfer to Leh airport and fly to Delhi.
