Most of the trails begin from a village temple and take you higher into the hill slopes overlooking the valley below. You can also choose from different trails. These trails are also used by locals for firewood and for their livestock. You walk through thick greenery full of Himalayan flaura and fauna. There are lots of wild flowers and plants in abundance. The bird lovers or our Avian enthusiasts can treat there passion to lots of avian population on these trails. you can visit the beautiful village temples dedicated to the local deity’s. These temples are beautiful piece of Himalayan architecture in wood and stone. The green lawns of the village temple are also very beautiful. The trails takes you through the wonderful traditional Himalayan village as some houses have stood there for like hundreds of years showing our great heritage and history. You walk down the scenic roads and through valleys. A day well spent in the natural settings and amongst the best of company.

The Banara Frozen trails- A nature lovers paradise.
A visit to hidden beautiful Himalayan village of Banara is definitely a must do for guests who come to Hamptan home for exploring the nature from much closer angle. Nature and hiking enthusiasts alike will find this trail through the lush green hills and mountain sides a very revelling one. It will open them to whole new hidden world of Himalayas. The trails begins from village temple of Shuru and takes you higher into the hill slopes overlooking the valley below. You can also choose from two paths one is though Arjun goofa and another one is more locally used by people and their livestock. so if you want to take a little bit tougher route than you can take Arjun goofa trails and if you want the luxury of a paved path than you can take the normal straight path from temple to village of Banara. Both the routes are equally beautiful and scenic. You walk through thick greenery full of Himalayan flaura and fauna. There are lots of wild flowers and plants in abundance. The bird lovers or our Avian enthusiasts can treat there passion to lots of avian population on the trail to Banara. Upon reaching village Banara you can visit the beautiful village temple dedicated to the local village deity. It is very beautiful piece of Himalayan architecture in wood and stone. After enjoying the green lawns of the village temple the trail takes you through the wonderful traditional Himalayan village as some houses have stood their for like hundreds of years showing our great heritage and history. we walk down the scenic road from village Banara and through jagatsukh to Hamptan home in village Shuru a day well spent in the natural settings and amongst the best of company.

The Arjun Goofa (cave) Frozen hike: Get used to the hills in a great way-
The trek to Arjun goofa is a quick way to get out of the hustle and bustle of the daily life. It helps you in acclimatisation for your future adventures in the mountains. The trek starts from the famous Mata Sharvari temple in the scenic and beautiful village of Shuru which is around 5 kilometres from Manali. The trek is steep but the path is nicely cut out and enjoyable. As you climb up you can see the beautiful Manali valley below. The more higher you climb through the high pine trees and apple orchards you see the human settlements from a higher altitude and they just look so beautiful and serene. Now Arjun goofa or cave is said to be dwelled by the greatest archer of all times and a hero from the epic Mahabharata – the Arjun. However around thirty years back the main entrance of the structure which is said to have an accommodation for around a thousand people. But now what remains of its entrance is the big heap of large rock slabs piled over each other. Once you reach at the top you will find a mountain cabin. This the place so once here you can spend your day enjoying the serenity of mountains around you. The place provides shutterbugs with ample opportunity to engage themselves in capturing the beauty of Manali hills and valley. You never know when the music of the wind gushing through tall and majestic pine trees will put your mind and body in peaceful trance and harmony with the nature.
